After making an approximately $1 per year with Google Adsense, my fantasy of making a living from my blogs was far from fruition. So instead of persisting any longer, I tried Agoda, a hotel booking website, from which I’ve made about $60 over the last few years – a big improvement! By this time, I’ve resigned to the fact that I shouldn’t give up my day job just yet!
Recently, a friend joined Empower Network. It’s something like a pyramid selling scheme selling a viral blogging platform (amongst other products) for $25/month. I immediately thought - $25/month? He must be crazy. There are so many blogging platforms available for free. Why would you spend $25 / month??!!
But, after having a look at the business model and compensation plan, and seeing that my friend is doing quite well, I decided to try it. I don't think I'll be making millions and give up my day job just yet, but it's nice to make some extra money to finance my eating expeditions and travels! ... And who knows, in a few years time, I might be able to retire early! What are we selling? Basically, we advertise the "viral blogging system", which costs $25 per month on our existing blogs or websites (or start a new one on the Empower Network website). If someone buys the product, then we'll get 100% commission on the 1st, 3rd, 5th sale. The 2nd, 4th and 6th sale goes to your sponsor. So, if you sign under me, then I'll get the 2nd, 4th, 6th sale. After this, your next 4 sales goes to you, and the 5th sale goes to me.
The thing I like about this is that we don't have to just promote Empower Network. Our blog can be just about anything. We can even blog about our business and promote it too. It's a kind of "passive" selling - if people are interested, they can buy. We don't have to badger our families and friends to buy.
How does Empower Network make money?
To have access to the "business", and receive payment, we need to have an affiliate account which costs $19.95. You can cancel both the $25 and the affiliate membership any time.

We only get commissions for these if you've bought the product yourself. This is how the big bucks are made. I haven't got these yet, but it seems the top earners are all saying how great these are.
